Gate The Flood (GTF) began in 2024 as a personal mission. When our founder searched for a reliable flood protection solution for his own home, he came up empty. After months of frustration and experimentation, he built what would become the first version of the GTF Shield, a durable, user-friendly flood barrier designed to truly work.

What started as a personal need soon became a public solution. Recognizing how essential flood protection is especially in cities like Chennai, we brought GTF to the market. After extensive research, design upgrades, and real-world testing, the GTF Shield you see today is a result of innovation, persistence, and purpose.

Meet Our MD – Mr. Handrey Robbines

Mr. Handrey Robbines is a business graduate with over a decade of experience across diverse industries. A personal need led him to create GTF, driven by the desire to provide practical, accessible flood protection solutions for homes and communities.
A true go-getter, Mr. Robbines believes in not just building businesses but building people. His leadership style is empowering, always encouraging those around him to grow into the leaders of tomorrow. He holds a strong stance against mediocrity and brings this uncompromising drive for excellence into every aspect of the company.
One of his proudest achievements is founding GTF, which has already made a real impact by protecting homes from the devastating effects of floods. Outside work, he’s a passionate movie buff who finds inspiration and creativity in storytelling.
